My passion for dogs started in school and while studying my GCSE and A’ Levels I worked part time in Kennels, gaining experience in most aspects of Animal Care. It was in 1999 when I started grooming, the same year I became a caretaker for the Schnauzer. My first, Champion Ruanco Regina Rex. (Pepper). She was the perfect family pet and introduced me to the show world. I was bitten by the bug that slowly infected me, influencing my life and career. Pepper was my first show dog. Showing dogs helped me to understand breeds and their individual grooming specifications. Understanding construction in dogs has also helped me to improve my grooming skills. These skills along side with the ever learning knowledge that I have and still gaining, K9 Cuts and its staff can not just offer a grooming service but as a customer you are secure in the knowledge that your dog is getting the best care possible and groomed to the highest of standards. We work with dogs and their owners to get the best from our services, spotting any possible health and behaviour problems as they present themselves.
I started at K9 in about 2009 as a voluntary helper and fell in love with the job. Since a young age, I have always been brought up in a house with at least 2 dogs, with a family that cares for and takes an interest in animals. I have always had a great love for all animals with dogs being my passion. In the years I have worked at K9, I have had countless opportunities to improve and build on my knowledge of all aspects of dogs, including grooming, different breeds and their health. I have also started taking an interest in going to dog shows with my own dog, which allows me to further gain knowledge about different breeds, how they are groomed, and the care that each individual breed requires.
